The preamp mode allows the Topping E50 II to be connected directly to a power amplifier or powered speakers, while offering precise volume control via the included infrared remote control. The Topping E50 II DAC is compatible with the Topping Home app for remote control via smartphone, but also supports 10-band equalization to adapt the sound to the genre of music being played or user preferences.

The Topping E50 II benefits from the AK4497S chip paired with the XMOS XU316 interface, which allows it to support high-resolution sampling rates up to 32-bit 768kHz PCM and DSD512 while maintaining a THD+N of only 0.0001% and offering a dynamic range of up to 131dB.
The Topping E50 II has support for high-resolution codecs up to LDAC for flawless wireless reception and superior sound quality. In addition to Bluetooth, other improvements include ADAT support, the Topping Home app, and a 10-band PEQ function for fine-tuning the sound. In terms of connectivity, it has all the essentials with several digital inputs and two analog stereo outputs, one RCA and the other balanced 6.35mm TRS jack.
