SMSL PL200 MK2

At the heart of the device is the advanced ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chip that enables precise reproduction with very low distortion. Through the USB input PL200 MK2 supports PCM signal up to 32-bit/768 kHz and Native DSD512, and support for full MQA-CD decoding enables high-quality playback of compatible discs.

The distinctive top-loading CD mechanism uses a magnetic disc stabilizer that helps reduce vibrations during playback. The PL200 MK2 also supports playback with the lid open, giving the device an attractive visual element that fits perfectly into a modern desktop Hi-Fi environment.

A special feature of the model is two-way Bluetooth. The device can receive wireless audio signals with support for high-quality codecs such as LDAC and aptX HD, but it can also work as a Bluetooth transmitter. For example, sound from a CD or USB source can be sent wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth headphones or active speakers.

For use with a classic Hi-Fi system, balanced XLR and RCA analog outputs are available with the ability to operate in PRE and LINE OUT modes. Digital optical and coaxial outputs further expand the connection options. A special Transport Mode switches off the internal analog circuitry to reduce electromagnetic interference when using the device as a digital CD transport.

The integrated headphone amplifier with PLFC circuit provides up to 1.5 W + 1.5 W at 16 Ω, with a 4.4 mm balanced and 3.5 mm single-ended connection on the front.

The housing is made of CNC machined aluminum alloy, while the IPS display with tempered glass and clear user interface allow for easy operation. The SMSL PL200 MK2 can thus become the center of a compact but extremely capable Hi-Fi system for playing CDs, computers, digital sources, Bluetooth devices and headphones.
