The Cayin CP6 is a portable, premium CD player with two carefully selected Raytheon JAN6418 NOS tubes, triple tone control and versatile digital functions. In addition to classic CD playback, it offers USB DAC, two-way Bluetooth, lossless CD ripping and balanced and unbalanced main and line outputs in a compact, portable format.

The CP6 features a fully balanced, discrete four-channel headphone amplifier and supports Class A or Class AB operation. Thanks to its wide impedance compatibility from 8 to 600 ohms, the device effortlessly drives both sensitive in-ear headphones and demanding high-impedance headphones.

The Cayin CP6 is also extremely versatile in terms of connectivity. It supports CD, USB and Bluetooth inputs and offers 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs, as well as line outputs; in addition, coaxial, optical and Bluetooth digital outputs are available.

For digital signal processing, the device uses two Cirrus Logic CS4308P DACs, an XMOS XU316 USB processor and a Qualcomm QCC3083 Bluetooth chipset. It supports high-resolution Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX HD, functions as a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver, and enables lossless CD ripping directly to USB storage devices.

The CP6 offers battery operation and external DC power, supports fast QC and PD charging, and achieves a battery life of up to 7.5 hours, depending on the operating mode. In DC mode, the balanced output delivers up to 1300 mW + 1300 mW into 16 ohms.

The concept is rounded off by a high-quality aluminum housing, a 2.3-inch color screen, control via the Cayin Control app and a shock-resistant CD mechanism. The CP6 thus combines classic CD playback, modern digital technology and audiophile sound tuning in an extremely versatile portable player.
