The ProAc Response DT8 changes the rules of speaker design by using different driver materials tailored to specific frequencies in a two-way configuration. With two 6.5-inch drivers with different cone materials \u2013 mica pulp for deep bass and polypropylene for smooth midrange \u2013 the DT8 achieves powerful bass and a natural midrange sound. Stewart Tyler designed a crossover that perfectly integrates ProAc's proven 1-inch soft dome tweeter, placed between the two bass drivers.<\/p>\n
