The Topping A90 Discrete Headphone Amplifier and Preamplifier features a discrete NFCA amplifier stage capable of supporting most headphones on the market. Its careful design with many high-end components allows it to deliver rich, clean and transparent sound.

Topping's A90 Discrete features a composite feedback amplifier (NFCA) based on the use of discrete components. Four integrated discrete NFCA modules use 39 transistors each in a balanced design. The optimized hybrid voltage/current feedback architecture and Ultra High Gain Feedback (UHGF) technology provide excellent DC and AC performance. With this new design, the A90 Discrete has a high output power, allowing it to effortlessly drive both high-sensitivity and high-impedance headphones. Precisely matched, ultra-low noise transistors connected in parallel ensure extremely low noise and distortion.

In addition to the headphone amplifier section, the A90 Discrete also includes a preamplifier. In the preamplifier, you get the same performance as in headphone amplifier mode. Single-ended 20Ω and balanced 40Ω outputs allow for the use of a wide range of amplifiers. What's more, both modes can be used simultaneously, and the remote control provides easy access to every function.

The A90 Discrete can be combined with the Topping EXT90, the latter offering the option of expanding the device's connectivity. With the EXT90 connected, you will have a total of four XLR inputs and two RCA inputs.
