The Kanto TUK is designed to excel in four applications with all the functionality needed to provide every user with the ultimate audio experience.
Instead of flipping a switch to select between line and phono sources, the TUK has a dedicated RCA input specifically for phono. Adding a way to connect headphones to your turntable is something that previously required purchasing a separate receiver, but this functionality is built right into the TUK. Add vinyl, a pair of your favorite headphones, and enjoy the simplicity of your setup.
The TUK has a USB port to simplify connection to a computer, and the speaker volume is linked to the operating system volume. If you adjust the volume on your OS, the TUK's internal volume will change. If you adjust the volume knob on the TUK, the OS volume will change.
With the home theater world in mind, Tuk features TUK's built-in DSP and crossover network for tight integration with subwoofers. This functionality is typically only found in external equipment like AV receivers, but it's included to eliminate another piece of equipment needed in your living room.
Aligning the TUK’s AMT tweeter with your ears and adjusting that sweet spot is key to getting every bit of audio performance out of your speakers. Because speaker placement is so important, we added a 1⁄4”-20 threaded hole to the bottom of the TUK so it can be attached to SP-series stands. Even in high-traffic areas with kids or pets, you can rest assured that your speakers won’t get damaged or end up on the floor. Removable speaker grilles add another layer of protection so that objects or curious hands can’t damage the aluminum woofer.
An optical input completes the living room experience, allowing the TUK to connect to almost any television. Plug all your equipment into your TV, switch between inputs and let your TV transmit sound to TUK with a single cable. You still have RCA, phono, Bluetooth and USB input for connecting to any other device not connected to your TV.
With a USB charging port on the back of the speaker, it can power Google Home mini, Echo input or any other smart home device without the need to run additional cables. The Bluetooth connection stays connected to your smart home device even when the speakers go into standby mode, allowing your speakers to automatically turn back on when you start streaming to them.
