The FiiO i1 is an Apple MFi certified digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier designed for the Lightning connector. The digital audio signal enters through the end of the Lightning connector that can be connected to the Apple iPhone/iPod/iPad (and other Apple products), while analog audio signals are pushed through the 3.5 mm output. The i1 also automatically detects whether you're using standard headphones or ones with built-in controls.
