The Cayin CS-6PH is a tube turntable preamplifier for high-quality MM and MC cartridges. This allows the connection of a multi-arm turntable with two different cartridges or two turntables using an MM or MC system. The inputs can be selected on the front panel. The CS-6PH features two Electro Harmonix 6922 tubes for MC amplification, while two JJ Electronics ECC83 tubes drive the MM amplification with high-precision RIAA equalization. Two 12AT7 tubes drive the output stage. Two RCA 22DE4 tubes are used for voltage rectification.

The Cayin CS-6PH offers both balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, allowing connection to a wide range of amplifiers. Cayin has its own transformers which, in combination with low voltage regulation, guarantee clean and stable amplification without interference.

The Cayin CS-6PH is a tube turntable preamplifier that offers two phono inputs for high-quality MM and MC cartridges.

The three position LOW/MED/HIGH gain switch located on the front panel of the Cayin CS-6PH allows the gain to be increased from 40dB to 57dB, 61dB or 65dB. The 40dB setting is typically intended for MM speakers, while the 57dB, 61dB, and 65dB gain settings are designed for MC speakers.

Adjustable input impedance and capacitance:

The CS-6PH is factory set to 40 dB and 47 kΩ/47 pF for MM cartridges. The CAP switch on the front panel allows users to set the input capacitance for MM cartridges to 47 pF or 100 pF. The MC input impedance can be adjusted to suit the needs of any cartridge using the impedance selection switch: 47 ohms, 100 ohms, 200 ohms, 470 ohms and 1000 ohms. A low-pass filter prevents excessive diaphragm movement caused by low frequencies resulting from panel distortion, which can also be engaged via a switch.
